BIOGRAPHY

BIOGRAPHY
Turner Berg (often billed as Dr. Turner Berg) came up in the 90s through the same fertile Eau Claire, Wisconsin music scene that launched Justin Vernon of Bon Iver. In those early years, his band One Fluid Ounce shared co-bills,
basements, and festival stages with the artists who would go on to define a generation of indie folk.
Eventually, One Fluid Ounce relocated to Los Angeles where the band released multiple records, shared bills with generational acts like The Mothers of Invention (Frank Zappa’s legendary ensemble), headlined iconic clubs like the Whiskey a Go Go and The Roxy Theater, and toured nationally within the jam band circuit.Fast forward to today, Dr. Berg calls the Twin Cities home. He is a core member of the alt-Americana band Saint Suburbia, who recently released their much-anticipated second record, Way Far Gone, in March of 2026. The record captures the band’s signature blend of roots rock, atmospheric storytelling, and wide-open Midwestern soul.Turner is a seasoned solo performer, playing venues across the Midwest. Recent highlights include a 2026 solo performance at the beloved Twin Cities indoor music festival, Hotel Minnesnowta, and at Lutsen's annual Mountain Meltdown festival. Whether in a packed festival setting or a quiet corner bar, his solo sets strip the songs down to their core.
